Our hotel’s excellent cuisine is also famous beyond the confines of Dobbiaco. To make your vacation in the beautiful region of South Tyrol even more unforgettable, Georg, our chef, will be pleased to reveal some of the secrets of his exquisite creations – because everyone likes to take something home to remember their vacation...

Here is one of Georg’s special recipes:

Hotel Dolomites Family vacations in a hotel in the Dolomites / on vacation with the family in a hotel in the Dolomites
Spinach Spätzle (Dumplings)
- 400 g of cooked, squeezed and strained spinach
- 350 g of flour
- 125 ml of water
- 2 eggs
- Salt and nutmeg
- 30 g of butter
- 150 g of cooked ham
- 125 ml of cream
- 125 ml of white wine
- 4 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese
- Pinch of pepper

Mix the spinach, flour, water, eggs, salt and nutmeg to create the dough. Let settle for half an hour.

Put the dough in a special utensil, placing it directly above a pot of boiling water. When the Spätzle return to the surface, drain them using a draining ladle and allow to cool under cold water.

Heat the butter and brown the ham, diluting with white wine and allow them to cook.

Finally, add the cream and the well-drained Spätzle and sprinkle everything with salt, pepper and Parmesan cheese.
